Vine type : Riesling

Wine type : Dry white wine of noble race, with delicate and fruity bouquet with floral and mineral notes.

Vineyard : The vineyard is located on the Piemont of the Vosges (hills under the Vosges forest), with a South-East exposure.

Harvesting : wine-making and ageing : The grapes are harvested by hand and immediatly pressed after selection. The juice is cleared by decanting ; fermentation and maturation follow in oak casks.

How to serve it : Riesling has to be tasted chilled with a temperature around 10°C.

How to keep it : This wine can be conserved a few years (5 or 6 at least) in a cool cellar with constant temperature (10° to 14°C). Keep the bottles lying, so the cork stays in contact with the wine in order to avoid drying-out.

What to drink it with : Acknowkedged as one of the finest white varietals in the world, it is a gastronomic wine "par excellence", specially with fish and sea food. It is particularly recommended with traditional Alsacian foods (choucroute, coq au Riesling, vintner's pie) as well as goat cheeses.
